Where It Started

Townsend Foods was launched in 2012 by the children of the Nesom family. Our story goes back a little further however – back to the early part of 2003 when the Nesom family originally bought Townsend, and began the process of converting the Home Farm, which is part of the estate, to an entirely organic agriculture system.

Through Townsend Foods, the Nesom’s believe they can create a “virtuous cycle” – produce food at the highest quality, work in harmony with the environment and nature, use the best ingredients and feeds and add value through expert production. In addition to this, by giving to local charities, the brand would go on to support our community
