Free Ranged Turkey
The poultry manager at Townsend is very particular about the free ranged turkeys he raises. All turkeys are grown slowly with no hormones, antibiotics, or animal by products of any kind for a minimum of 25 to 28 weeks. This produces the juiciest turkey breast in all of Manitoba as the slow growth allows the turkeys to develop their natural breast fat. The turkeys raised here range in size from 25 lbs  to an eye popping 40 lbs but we find the extra care is well worth the effort.
